Businesses in the Cleveland area and McGee's Crossroads are invited to Business WatchCrime Prevention Program, a hands-on safety seminar hosted by the GreaterCleveland Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, September 25, 2001 at Golden Corral off Highway 42 near I-40. Guests are welcome to come for supper and networking at 6:30 p.m. with the program at 7:30 p.m.

Featured speakers will be Sheriff Steve Bizzell and Officer Ron Mazur of the Johnston County Sheriff'sDepartment, who will provide insight and opportunities for businesses in western Johnston County to enhance their safety and security.

"The program is like Neighborhood Watch but focuses on business centers," said Jersey noting that the community service program is open to members and non-members of the chamber.

"Our business areas at exits 312 and 319 are growing around two highway interchanges, which across the country by their high traffic nature experience greater crime statistics over other community areas removed from high volume traffic. It is our hope that business owners and managers in the region will take advantage of this free program," said Jersey.

The Business Watch workshop will include tips to reduce crime potential and increase safety for employees andcustomers. "We want residents and area visitors to know that the business community here is alert and has zero tolerance for crime," said Jersey.
