A local 4042.com feature

[12/11/00]
Road, Mountain & Time Trial Cyclist
David Michael Anthony in training for the 2004 Olympics is bicycling and pulling behind his bicycle over 1,000 pounds in a never before ride crossing all 49 states to benefit disaster victims and the hungry all over the nation.  The ride benefits World Hunger Year (WHY), the Harry Chapin Food Bank and other shelters, food banks and other non-profit organizations designed to aid the needy, hungry, and homeless all over the USA.

David currently is riding back to Key West Florida.  Once there he will cycle 5,000 miles across the USA for a 4th time, a pledge drive with the goal of raising 5 million dollars for America's hungry and homeless.

The local Hampton Inn donated a room to the cause as the cyclist stayed overnight at 40/42 before continuing his journey by heading toward Fayetteville.
