A Celebration!!

If you were anywhere near The Coffee Mill in Clayton on December 28th, you would have heard a very original style of music.  Keith Hoeppner had a CD Release Party/Celebration at The Coffee Mill with a couple of guests.  Paul Barton of Studio 415 and local singer Wendy Turner joined Keith on a few numbers.

Although Keith has only been playing the guitar for five years, he sure seems like a natural.  Keith played at an "Open Mic" night at The Coffee Mill in January 2001 and was approached by Paul Barton to record some of his music.  Since The Coffee Mill was Keith "first" stage appearance, he thought it was appropriate to have his first CD Debut there.  Keith enjoys playing locally.  Living in Garner for over 30 years, he supports the local scene.

Keith's goals aren't to quit his full time job as a Prototype Designer (ya know, it pays the bills), however he would like to record some of his originals for movie soundtracks, corporate backgrounds and such.

After Keith's CD Release Party, his dad gave him a gift of an original album of Laurindo Alneida (if you have never heard of him, don't feel left out).  Alneida played acoustical guitar and was an inspiration to Keith.

Keith also plays with a band called Almost Brothers Band .  If you're in Garner on Tuesday nights, stop by the Texas Steak House to hear Keith Hoeppner also mark your calendar for January 19th at the Clubhouse Restaurant in Clayton to hear Keith play with Wendy Turner (as the "little sister").  The Coffee Mill will always have a special meaning for Keith and he plans to play there regularly (next gig at The Coffee Mill is February 22nd).  Stop in for a great cup of java and relax to local music.

[**Note:  Keith's CD "Splittin' Hairs" is available for purchase at The Coffee Mill in Clayton, or online at Studio 415.]
