Who would have ever thought you could get Caviar in Johnston County?

Well now you can, along with many other international treats.  There is a new business in Peddlers Village called Global Foods.  Owners Al and Betty Gilas originally from Turkey, opened their doors one month ago.  Betty stated that she liked the 4042 area because of the community and busy pace.

Global Foods offers Greek, Turkish, Russian, Italian, Polish, Spanish and other gourmet specialties.  Products range from Pita bread to chocolate and everything in between, such as grape leaves, Baklava, International cheeses and olives, Greek caviar, jellies, nuts and seasonings.  Many of these items are ready to eat.  How much easier can it get!  

Located in the middle of the shop is a large selection of meat and fish.  There is Italian Sausages of all flavors, smoked Herring, Mackerel, Whitefish, Semga, Paltus, and Eel. 

Be sure to ask about their specialty Gift baskets made personally by Betty.  Their hours are Monday thru Saturday 9:30 – 7:00 and Sundays from 10:00 – 2:00.  For more information you can contact the Global Foods Shop at 919-662-7049.
 

Pittman Accounting and Tax Service has moved!

You may have noticed a new sign in Peddler's Village beside the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce.  The office in the front window belongs to Frank Pittman Jr. of Pittman Accounting and Tax Service.

He moved out of his home office to expand his business more to the community.  With a BS in accounting and a CPA degree since 1996, needless to say he has a lot of experience under his belt.  However the plaques on the wall could not outshine the proud pictures of his beautiful children on his desk, Elijah and Abigail.

Frank is a 17 year resident of the Cleveland Community and has been in business for over 13 years catering to local small business owners.  Specializing in Non-Profit organization accounting and auditing, he also offers individual and corporate tax returns, Quick books training, Payroll and bookkeeping.  He works a very flexible schedule, normal hours are Monday thru Friday 8 am to 6 pm, but he mentioned that by appointment, he is available on Saturdays.
