The 4042.com Web Dog tells us that keeping up with local business openings is a full time job!  He's been on the trail again, and here's the latest news he's found!

You say you want a convenient, fast, local cleaner that also does delivery and pickups?  Well now you've got it!  Mike's Cleaners is now open at what has become the hottest spot of new business activity at 40/42 in recent months - the 130 Commerce Center.  As we were taking our picture for this update, we had a chance to meet Mike and got a tour of the new facility - very nice!  The cleaning is done right on site, and there are lots of great extra services being offered - pickup and delivery, one hour cleaning, shoe repair, on-site alterations and more!  Stop in and welcome Mike to the 40/42 community and take advantage of his specials!

Ok, while we are at the Commerce Center (which, if you are new to the area, is located on the road runs from the Sleep Inn to the CVS drugstore, behind Peddler's Village), we need to pass along that Diamond's & Gold Direct have taken up their new position in the same building as the new State Employees Credit Union.

Also at Commerce Center, looks like the new combination of Li'l Dino and Cliff's Place is about ready to go!  Sign is up and the interior is looking complete...we'll keep an eye on it and bring you more soon!

Hopping across the road, located between Medicap Pharmacy and Carolina Tire & Service, Kids Care Pediatrics is now open!  You can reach them at: 934-3470 for more information.

And, if you cross over to the other side of 40/42, you'll find that the new retail building between Jersey Mike's and Andy's Cheeseburgers is the new home for the Cleveland Barber Shop. While snapping our picture, we met the owner who plans to be open this week!

You may have noticed the new Cleveland Tanning and Nails, located near the Cleveland Volunteer Fire Dept. and D.R. Wells.

Matthew's Road gets busier all the time!  Besides the Matthew Farm subdivision, Double J Farms has also hung out their sign for their turf grass operation.

Any update we do these days is definitely going to include the 40/42's twin sister - Exit 319!  What's new?  Well, the building materials have been dropped off in front of the Food Lion at McGees Crossing for a Scotchman convenience store/gas station.

In McGees Crossing shopping center, the China Star has their welcome sign out as they are now open for business, along with their next door neighbor, Lee Nails.  Checking out the other available store fronts, we see a construction permit for a Subway.

And finally, we have this admitted compulsion for ATM's and are always happy to see another one in a convenient location.  Now open for business is the Cash Point's ATM, a drive up location in the Texaco/White Swan parking lot at Exit 319.  (REMINDER!  Cash Point ATM's are run by the State Employee Credit Union - why should you care?  Because they don't charge a service fee for you to use them!!!)
