If you live near the 319 Exit, you now have a NEW pharmacy!  Medicap Pharmacy held their Grand Opening ceremonies Wednesday, October 10th.  This is the third Medicap Pharmacy that Lance and Stephanie Wheeler, co-owners, have opened.  This marks the 19th location of Medicap Pharmacies in North Carolina.

Keith Langdon, Town Manager of Benson and Billy Parrish, President of Benson Area Chamber of Commerce was in attendance at McGee's Medicap Grand Opening. 

Jodie Lumbrazo, R.Ph., will be the Manager and Pharmacist.  (You may know Jodie from seeing her at the 40/42 CVS.)  The McGee's Medicap is opened Monday through Friday 9:00 - 7:00 and on Saturday from 9:00  - 1:00.  Prescriptions may be dropped off at the 24 Hour Drop Box, which is located at the Drive-Thru Window.  Other services offered include medication reviews, immunizations, and individual private patient consultations.  Online prescription refills are just a few clicks away and very convenient.  (The online prescription service is available now at the 40/42 Medicap location and will be available soon at the McGee's location.) Until then use the phone, call it in the old way!

Families for Children Rally

Nearly 100 children from Johnston County are growing up in foster care, and nearly two-thirds are in homes outside the county due to the severe shortage of foster and adoptive families here at home.

Join us at the first-ever community rally in Johnston County to raise awareness of the need for loving homes for all of our kids.  Meet the children who are waiting to be adopted featured in a new video that will premiere at the rally. Hear the personal stories of foster and adoptive families who have already stepped forward.  Learn how to take the first step to get involved.

The rally will be taking place Saturday, October 13, 2001 at the Johnston Community College Auditorium from 11am -- 1pm.  For more information, please call (919) 989-5393.
