A new 60,000 sq.ft. shopping center will begin construction in the next few weeks at the intersection of I-40 and 210
(at Exit 319, on the opposite side of I-40 from the Texaco and Dairy Queen). A Food Lion will be part of the new facility, which will include 3-4 outparcels available for development.Exit 319 signs of development are also continuing on the already established side of I-40, where the 319 Commercial Park will see the opening soon of Johnson Family Care and a Medicap Pharmacy in the same building. A little further into the development, it looks like they are getting started on the construction of Beaver Creek Station, likely a strip shopping center.Back at 40/42 we see some position changes and new faces. Breeden Law and Anchor Insurance (Erie Insurance) have both moved from their Peddler's Village locations to the new Professional Court building across from Fit for Life.Moving to Peddler's Village from Smithfield is Parker Appraisal Group, offering services dealing with the buying, selling or refinancing of homes.
If you use the Exit 312 exit then you've seen the continued progress on the American Conec High Tech Park. They continue with finishing touches on the exterior and seem to be moving quickly towards completion. Keeping up with new business developments is a full time job in this area!
