A drive around the area this weekend provides us with an update of local activities.  The Web Dog, hanging out of the window, made careful note of the happenings so they could be brought to you here!

Business Move - Occupying the center position at Peddler's Village for quite some time, Calamity Janes Western Store is expanding to their new location on the other side of the 40/42 intersection.  They are setting up shop next to Cyber Pup in the strip shopping center located behind Smithfield BBQ (the storefront formerly occupied by Four Seasons Sporting Goods)

Biggie Size China - With the windows covered by past issues of the Cleveland Post, construction is well underway on the interior of the Jumbo China, located next to the Food Lion.  4042.com dropped by to ask about the opening date and the Web Dog jotted down in his notebook that it would "be about a month."

Even Cleaner - Announcing their arrival to the area, signs are up on either side of the 40/42 intersection for Greenbrier Drycleaners.  Although unable to pinpoint the location, the Web Dog has a theory that it might be in the Huddle House building, since it would allow for a drive-thru. (Note:  Have your own theory?   Let us know about it here!)

Poolside - Expected to open this summer, the construction on the olympic size pool and recreational club at Broadmoor appears to have escalated. Located next to the old Cleveland Middle School, at the front of the Broadmoor subdivison, you can call 954-1280 for more information.

Food and Gas - A sign of the growth that is starting to appear at Exit 319, the I-40 Super Gas construction continues to progress.  The Web Dog is trying to track down an expected opening date for the new facility.

Nutrition Kitty Update - If you've visited the 4042.com Discussion Group, you know that there has been considerable talk concerning the 40/42 Food Lion.  4042.com has e-mailed the corporate office to offer them online space to address the issues.  We'll let you know their response.
