from New York, Christine Urgo and her husband David, live in Cary and have brought their Styling Studios concept to Johnston County because of the county's increasing growth. Their unique concept allows those who are serious about a career in cosmetology to make the most money possible. It is a concept that is popular in the north, but not practiced much in the south. At Panache Styling Studios,
hairstylists lease space from the 8838 US Hwy 70 West location (also known as Southern Regional Village). They are then allowed to set their own hours, charge their own fees and keep 100% of the profit. An added bonus is the 100% profit of sells of products
(as opposed to the average 10%). They even have their very own lock and key to their private 110 square foot space. This business plan allows the cosmetology professionals to maximize their profits if they are serious about their career. When asked about her favorite aspect of Panache Styling Studios, stylist Lori Hicks summed it up in three small words, "Privacy and independence." Currently, the studio has 3 out of 12 spaces already leased, but
