Cleveland Blood Drive a Success

A local 4042.com feature

Red Cross blood donations
have been at critical low levels this summer.  That made the Cleveland area blood drive all that more important.

The community turned out in force, with 60 residents showing up to give the Gift of Life.  Promoted by the Crossroads Civitan Club, the drive lasted from 2pm till 7:30pm, with a steady flow of participants.

Final totals for the event - 60 showed at the Oakland Presbyterian Church, of which 11 were donating for the first time!  Fifty-six units of blood were collected, making for one of the most successful drives in the area.
