Huge Turnout for the 6th Annual Strawberry Festival!

A local 4042.com feature

[5/24/05)

Although we had to hold on to the tents a few times during some strong gusts, the weather held out for most of the day as the Strawberry Festival logged the biggest turnount of a six year history.

Opening the event at 10am was the WJHS Band, with other musical entertainment being provided during the day by 5 Smooth Stones and the McGee's Middle School Jazz Band.

Visitors found a wide variety of vendors, rides and games for the kids, and traditional festival fare of hotdogs and funnel cakes.  Plans are already underway for next year!
