A reception to remember!  WakeMed Clayton hosted an open house on Tuesday, June 26th for the community at large.  Refreshments, tours of the facility, health screenings, body fat analysis and even massages were given to the hundreds of folks who turned out during the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting.  WakeMed Clayton thought of everything for their Grand Opening - acoustical music, children's face painting and activities, gift basket give-a-ways and a remote broadcast with Sunny 93.9.

April 2, 2001 marked the opening of WakeMed Clayton.  Since that time Outpatient Rehab, Laboratory services and Radiology has been provided in their new two-story, 38,000 sq ft building.  Wake Heart Associates will open July 5th, with Pediatrics and Podiatrists following in October of this year.  WakeMed Clayton is proud to provide quality medical services to children and adults of Clayton and the surrounding areas. 

Opening the Ribbon Cutting ceremony was Emily Andrews, Chairman of the WakeMed Board of Directors.  Clayton Mayor Douglas McCormac commented that WakeMed is bringing additional quality health care to Clayton.  Raymond Champ, President of WakeMed, said that three years ago this area's attraction was the need for quality medical facilities and the warmth of this community.  

Three additional buildings are planned for the Medical Park of Clayton.  Barbara Allen, WakeMed Foundation Board of Directors member said "What's to come is even better".
