(Smithfield, NC) Johnston County is excited to announce that it has contracted with Code Red, an Emergency Notification Company, to provide emergency messages to its citizens.  In cases such as approaching Hurricanes, boil water notices, water outages and other emergency situations, the County will be able to call citizens in the affected areas and provide vital information.

{mosimage}Along with these emergency notifications, Code Red also provides FREE Weather Warnings to citizens who sign up for this service.  The Free Weather call will only be sent to citizens directly in the storm's path.  To sign up for this Free Weather Notification, please visit our website at www.johnstonnc.com and click on the Code Red Weather Warning logo at the bottom of the page which will direct link you with the registration area on the Code Red system.
