{mosimage}The 2008 Charity Golf Classic will be held October 9-10. The reception and raffle will be held on Thursday evening, October 9, at the Country Club of Johnston County. The golf outing will be held on Friday, October 10 with two tee times (8:30am and 1:30pm) at the Country Club of Johnston County.

The Foundation hosts the annual Neal Lancaster-Four Oaks Bank Charity Golf Classic to raise money for scholarships and other priorities. A reception with a raffle is held on Thursday evening before the outing providing an opportunity for guests to meet Neal Lancaster, other players, celebrities, and enjoy a fun evening of fine food and fellowship. The Golf Classic consists of 18 holes of golf with prizes awarded for the top teams in four flights for both morning and afternoon play. Several contests add to the fun of the tournament with prizes for both female and male players. All proceeds to to the College Foundation.

Neal Lancaster, a home-town success story, is a touring pro with a PGA title. He takes responsibility of making a difference in his own community by supporting educational opportunities for his fellow Johnstonians and hosting the golf outing. Four Oaks Bank & Trust, the major corporate sponsor of the Golf Classic, incorporated in 1912 in the Johnston County town of Four Oaks. The state-chartered bank now has several locations of operation in Johnston County. Deacon Jones, another major sponsor, is a native Johnstonian and entrepreneur who has established himself as a major auto dealer in Johnston County.
