Downtown Smithfield - With less than 4 months away, the Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation has announced that it is currently accepting craft vendor applications for the 2011 Ham & Yam Festival.
"Each year the event is getting bigger and better," states Chris Johnson, Executive Director of the Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation. "With the announcement of the Night Ranger concert, there's been a great amount of interest expressed this year in making reservations early. As always, we are looking for quality vendors to participate in the festival. We hope to have everyone's places finalized by mid-April.
The 2011 Ham & Yam Festival will be celebrating its 27th year and is schedule to take place May 7 & 8, 2011. Already the space allotted for craft vending is filling fast. With most vendors returning to this popular event, available openings for craft, art and agricultural products are now being offered. The 2-day festival, held in historic Downtown Smithfield draws approximately 30,000 visitors.
Street side vending spaces are '10 x '12 and cost $100 for Saturday, and $145 for Saturday and Sunday. Space is limited to the first 125 applicants.
