{mosimage}The Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation (DSDC) has announced the annual Holiday Arts Walk scheduled for Thursday evening, November 15, has been canceled.

"We regret to inform area art enthusiast and downtown supporters that the annual Holiday Artswalk scheduled for this Thursday has been canceled due to a scheduling conflict with the Johnston County Artist Guild," states Chris Johnson, Executive Director of the DSDC. "The Johnston County Arts Council and the Artist Guild has been very supportive of pervious Artswalk, however a large number of Johnston County artist were unable to participate in this year's Artswalk due to the Guild's involvement in another event on the same evening."

Currently, the Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation and the Johnston County Arts Council staff are working to try and reschedule the popular event.
