{mosimage}The Education Committee of the Clayton Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the January 2010 EDUCATION SUPERSTAR Award to Mr. James Stoke, Assistant Principal at Powhatan Elementary School. In the words of staff members at Powhatan: "Mr. Stoke is a professional role model and supportive mentor for our staff as well as an effective instructional leader.

He is very dedicated to the success of our school and participates in all PTA and community events. He helps maintain a safe and caring school environment and encourages students and staff to strive to do their best! He works cooperatively with parents and keeps them informed of monthly school activities. Mr. Stoke views problems as opportunities to improve and is always willing to lend a helping hand to get the job done!"
