Smithfield NC - Film lover and can't get enough of good old fashion zombie movies? Well, here's your chance indulge yourself as the Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation and the Neuse Little Theatre has teamed up with Independent Film Maker, Christine Parker for a special screening on her most recent work - "A Few Brains More - Summer of Blood."  The screening will take place on Saturday, August 13, at 7:00pm, at the Neuse Little Theatre Hut on Front Street in Downtown Smithfield.The screening is open to the public and tickets are $5 each.

Viewers of the film may recognize in many of the back ground scenes and actors, as Parker worked with the Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation for securing shooting site locations in Downtown Smithfield and assisting with finding local actors and extras.

Some downtown Smithfield locations include; The Diner, The Neuse Little Theatre Hut and offices of JE Wilson just to name a few.

A Few Brains More is a follow up of Parker's last film, Fistful of Brains and continues the story of Lily and Jack.This time, in the year 1973, they continue their pursuit of the evil Dead Eye McSlain who has now teamed up with World Corp to create a new batch of Lazarus water. Chaos begins when McSlain takes it to a rock concert and sells it to a bunch of hippies.Will they stop him before he creates more zombies? Its one wild trip you won't want to miss.

About the Film Maker:
Originally from Leicester, England, Christine Parker began her film career in Sanford, North Carolina in 2004.She wrote and produced a short film Second Death that led to her producing, writing, and directing the prequel.It became her first feature, Forever Dead.Forever Dead was picked up for distribution by Brain Damage Films/Maxim Media in March of 2006.

Her next feature was a zombie western, Fistful of Brains.Set in the late 1800s it starred many of the cast and crew from her previous films as well as some notable cameos by Heidi Martinuzzi (Pretty Scary), her friend Pericles Lewnes (Redneck Zombies), and Chuck Williams (Bubba HoTep).

Christine has most resent feature A Few Brains More: Summer of Blood set in the summer of 1973.A Few Brains More continues the story of Jack and Lily from Fistful of Brains and will star Emlee Vassilos and Michael Ryan Williams.
