April Stephens was sworn in this afternoon as the newest member of the Johnston County Board of Commissioners, representing District 4.  She will complete the term for the seat that was vacated when Larry Wood resigned his position on Feb 28th, 2022, stating that he would no longer be able to serve due to a move of residence that would have him residing outside of Johnston County.

Stephens served in the Army National Guard as a Combat Medic for 8 years and began a career in Real Estate in 2006. She is the owner of The April Stephens Team/eXp Realty, located at the 40/42 intersection, 121 Commerce Parkway.  She will hold the seat on the Board of Commissioners for the remainder of the current term which ends in December of 2022.
