Back about two months ago, 4042.com was the first to bring you the story on American Conec.  You may have noticed that over the past month, they have been busy working on the site for the new high tech industrial park, which will be located next to Mebane Packaging, fronting I-40.  They are currently involved in the construction of the ponds that will set off the greenways planned to surround the property.  We've included a picture here of the architectural drawing of what the industrial park will look like when completed.

Johnston Community College, Cleveland Campus was the host for GCCC's Strategic Planning Session Saturday, January 27, 2001.  Judy Williams, Associate Dean of Institutional Effectiveness for Johnston County Community College, lead the planning meeting.  Twelve community and chamber members participated by group discussion and break out brainstorming sessions.

Topics of discussion included member services/programs, demographics/membership and chamber issues.   Each topic was broken down into strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.  Participants shared ideas for improvement with emphasis on a website, physical location, public safety as well as others.
