Christmas on Main It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Benson, NC, as the town gears up to celebrate the holiday season. Christmas on Main will be a sparkling evening December 5th, 2008 beginning at 6:00PM. There will be a Christmas Tree Lighting as well as a Shop Benson, Build Benson Giveaway. There will be a Christmas Parade following the tree lighting with live entertainment throughout the evening. The Chamber is hosting a bicycle decorating contest, with participants invited to ride in the parade. Drop off boxes will be dispersed throughout town to deposit new, unwrapped toys for the Chamber's Toy Drive. In addition, luminaries may be purchased through the Chamber that will light Main Street. Benson's Historic Hometown Tour will also take place Sunday, December 7th from 2:00PM to 7:00PM. It is going to be a fabulous holiday in Benson, NC.
