More than 25,000 books and 1,000 movies and recorded books are being processed for shelving and an Internet-based catalog. Creative thinking will be needed to handle this many books in the tight space available. An immediate goal is to attach a label and bar code to 10,000 books by May 30. Volunteers may come in Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Prior library experience is highly valued. Groups may call to arrange different blocks of volunteer time. Call 919-661-6565 for more information.
