Johnston County District Attorney Susan I. Doyle, in an effort to recognize and thank law enforcement officers, implemented a program to publicly honor Johnston County officers each month for their hard work and dedication to the citizens of Johnston County. Doyle stated, "Our officers do invaluable work to protect our community; however, they rarely get thanked or recognized. This award is a way for my office to express our appreciation for the tireless and dangerous work that these men and women do on a daily basis."

Doyle stated, "Officer Blaizes supervises gang members who are on probation and works hard to ensure that our community is safe. My staff values the excellent relationship that Officer Blaizes has with the District Attorney's Office, his willingness to assist with cases by reaching out to law enforcement officers to provide vital information on cases, his commitment to staying late or coming in early to get extra work done and consistently having a positive attitude and a passion for what he does. As a member of Johnston County's Gang Task Force, Blaizes routinely provides important information to School Resource Officers and Detectives to help identify gang members and new patterns/trends involving gang members in the community. Officer Blaizes is a true professional and values the team approach between probation and the District Attorney's Office."Officer Blaizes is currently a Probation Officer II with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. Blaizes resides in the Fayetteville area with his wife.
