Brooke Barefoot, a senior at South Johnston High School, presented a check to Johnston County Manager Rick Hester on April 18, 2011 in the amount of $300.00 for the Johnston County Teens in the Driver Seat Program. Miss Barefoot chose to design and sell t-shirts in the hopes of raising teen driving awareness in Johnston County, for her senior project.

The $300.00 donation was the result of the t-shirt sales. Miss Barefoot stated "I hope this money will benefit the program and help bring awareness to the importance of safe teen driving".
