facebook Share on Facebook A canned food drive was the November Service Project for the Kindergarten and 3rd grade classes. After it got started, it was turned into a school wide project. They collected food for 3 weeks and graphed each week's collection. They sorted and boxed the food and delivered it to First Baptist Church in Smithfield for their "Food Closet". They had a contest going to see which class could collect the most. Mrs. Mast's kindergarten class won an ice cream party for collecting 181 cans of food. All classes together at Neuse Charter School collected 619 cans of food. This was great from a school of less than 200 students! GO COUGARS!
