The Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation and the Smithfield Parks and Recreation will host the annual "Friends of the 4th" Fireworks Celebration at the Historical Smithfield Town Commons on Friday, July 4, 2008.

Beginning at 5:00 PM, the scheduled afternoon and evening festival will be filled with games, and musical entertainment for the entire family. The "Friends of the 4th" celebration will conclude with a traditional fireworks display at 9:30PM.
