The Town of Benson welcomes Mr. Terry Hobgood as Cultural Arts Director for the Town of Benson, overseeing the Mary Duncan Public Library and the Museum of Local History.

Hobgood, a native of Oxford, NC received his undergraduate degree in Film Studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a Masters in English from North Carolina State University and Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Hobgood has worked in various capacities at several institutions including The Greensboro Public Library and Wake County Public Library.

"I look forward to working with the Benson community while providing the best service possible", said Hobgood. Hobgood will assume the role as Cultural Arts Director following the Thanksgiving Holiday beginning Monday November 26, 2012.
