Share on Facebook Smithfield, NC -- Retail water customers of the Johnston County water system are reminded of the County’s water conservation policy and specifically alternate day watering by in-ground irrigation systems and hose end sprinklers.

- For even numbered addresses, irrigation is permissible on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
- For odd numbered addresses, irrigation is permissible on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
- No irrigation is permitted on Mondays.

Handheld hose watering, pressure washing, and car washing are permitted anytime.
